No advertiser can pay for a formula, a ranking, or a favorable result.
Checked against primary references before publication, no exceptions.
When a reference formula or standard updates, we update the calculator or converter.
From a student's first fraction to a professional's daily estimate.
NumeraHub was founded on a single non-negotiable principle: the editorial desk and the business side of the publication are completely separate. What formula we implement, how we explain it, and what a calculator's result means is determined by what is mathematically correct and useful to our readers. It is never determined by who is advertising or who would prefer a particular outcome to appear more favorable.
No individual, company, or organization outside of NumeraHub has ever influenced, reviewed in advance, or approved any calculator or article published on this site. The firewall is absolute.
The NumeraHub Staff Editorial team holds final editorial authority over all content published on NumeraHub. Contributors have full autonomy within their categories and are expected to flag a calculator's limitations honestly, even when that means a less flattering explanation than a competitor offers.
Every calculator and converter published on NumeraHub must answer one question: does this genuinely help our readers? We build what is useful and verifiable. We do not build a calculator because it is easy, because it drives traffic, or because a competitor has one.
- Relevance: is this a calculation real people actually need to do?
- Verifiability: does this tool rest on a formula or conversion factor we can check against a credible reference?
- Differentiation: does our version add something beyond what is already freely available, a missing feature, a clearer explanation, a worked example?
- Reader interest: is this something our audience is actually searching for and needs?
Reader-requested calculators and converters are given real weight in this process. See our Contact page to suggest one.
Calculators and converters at NumeraHub are built through formula verification and hands-on testing, not published from a single source without scrutiny. We do not implement a formula from a single unverified page. We test every calculator and converter against known worked examples before it goes live.
Every formula is checked against standard references, textbooks, published clinical or scientific literature, or established mathematical identities. The source is documented internally before implementation.
Before publication, every calculator and converter is tested against boundary values, unusual inputs, and known results to confirm it behaves correctly, not just on the common case.
Where possible, results are cross-checked against an independent computation, not merely re-derived from the same formula twice.
What we don't do: we do not publish a calculator or converter we have not personally tested. We do not copy a competitor's formula without independently verifying it against a primary source. We do not let a calculator go live with a known unresolved limitation without stating that limitation in the accompanying article.
- Primary sources first: established mathematical identities, standards bodies, peer-reviewed research, and official published formulas, wherever they exist.
- Named sources: we prefer named, citable references over unattributed claims.
- Single-source rule: we do not implement a formula based on a single unverified page. Formulas of real consequence are checked against at least two independent references.
- Competing formulas: where a field has more than one accepted formula (health estimates are a common example), we say so explicitly and explain when each applies, rather than silently picking one.
If we cannot verify a formula with confidence, we do not publish it. If we later learn a formula was implemented incorrectly, we correct it openly.
NumeraHub does not publish sponsored calculators or converters, native advertising disguised as tools, or any content whose formula, result, or framing has been influenced by payment from a third party.
If NumeraHub ever introduces display advertising, those advertisements will be visually distinct from calculators, converters, and editorial content, and advertisers will have no input into what a calculator computes or how a result is presented.
Some articles on NumeraHub may contain affiliate links to relevant products or services. When present, this is disclosed clearly at the top of the article. Affiliate relationships never influence a calculator's formula, output, or the advice in its accompanying article. Affiliate revenue, when it exists, helps sustain independent editorial work. It does not purchase our formulas or our opinions.
- Formula errors are corrected immediately upon verification, with a clearly labeled note stating what was wrong and what the correct formula is.
- Significant errors that materially change a calculator's output are addressed with priority and, where the error may have affected past readers, noted prominently on the article.
- Minor errors (typos, UI issues, broken links) are fixed promptly without a formal note.
- Silent corrections to a calculator's actual formula or logic are never acceptable at NumeraHub.
If you believe you have found an error in a calculator's formula or output, contact us with the specific inputs and expected result. We investigate every report and respond to each one.
NumeraHub attributes formula sources clearly. When our reference points to standards bodies, textbooks, or published research, we credit and link to the original source wherever possible. We do not present another publication's specific worked examples or original explanatory content as our own.
AI tools play a genuine role in our content production workflow, assisting with research synthesis, drafting, and language refinement. But every formula that reaches a live calculator has been independently verified by a human against a primary reference, and every article has been reviewed and stood behind by a human before publication.
This distinction matters to us. AI accelerates our work. It does not replace the verification step, the editorial judgment, or the accountability that stands behind every number on this site. When a calculator's article states that a formula was checked against a specific reference, that check genuinely happened, it is not an assumed or generated claim.
We welcome contact from readers, educators, researchers, and anyone with a legitimate editorial inquiry.
